After arriving in Seattle yesterday we picked up the hire car and first port of call was a little trundle north to Paine Field for a look around the late Paul Allen’s museum. There are a host of tanks and I’ll probably pop some pictures in the gallery at some point but also an impressive collection of immaculate mainly WWII aircraft. Most of these are airworthy although a couple are not flown due to their rarity. The collection is situated in three airy hangars without too much clutter so you can get a reasonable look at the displays. Of course if you are here at the right time you will get to see many of them in the air. Well worth a visit in my view.
